  • London City Council votes over special events noise levels

    City council in London is looking into options to help erase some archaic city by laws that restrict local converts and other events. Current by laws limit noise to 90 decibels to no later than 11pm, with changes explored through public consultation. The laws seem a bit old fashioned to some, so city council is undergoing an examination of the existing by-laws to make them less restrictive.

  • Hundreds Participate in Annual Terry Fox Run in London

    In what has become practically a September institution in many Ontario communities, hundreds of runners did their part in the battle against cancer in London, ON this weekend. Over 900 runners managed to raise over $120,000 in the run against cancer throughout the London community this weekend. The event took place at Springbank gardens, and participants were welcome to register on site and then begin their walk, run or bike throughout the park. The event draws both repeat and new supporters year after year.
